Hi, I'm Crystal - a digital artist from New Zealand, currently based in Melbourne.
Of all the joys in the world, art and philosophy are my greatest passions. I strive to create work that speaks to the euphoria and melancholy of our shared human experience, evoking reflections on both past and future, and exploring the tangents between technology and tradition, rebels and rulers, memory and myth.
I’m currently an artist at Wētā FX, where I specialise in lifelike characters and creatures that help tell an emotionally compelling story. Before that, I trained at Hollywood’s Gnomon School of VFX and earned my undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of work, I love walking in nature, learning new languages, cooking, and feeding my brain across history, design, and culture.
